The treble has a unusual repair to the headstock which broke in two. Gordon Lane (prolific local ringer) who owned a welding business for many years from the late 1950's to circa 2000's clearly was responsible for the repair. The bell remains in ringing order to this day. This bell was new in 1952 so the headstock failure must have been early on in its life.

The wooden frame whilst obviously strengthened is still the original 1760 frame and was built by a Jos Gibron. He has left his makers mark clearly at the inboard end of the treble pit making the bell pit to visit along with the headstock repair.
